Beijing is the city of opportunities for foreigners. It was a normal Friday evening in Wudaokou when one of my friends told me she was going to Mongolia to take part to a Chinese movie called 'Guns and Kidneys', a Chinese black comedy on zombies. I immediately asked her if there was place also for me and there I was two days later on a flight to Baotou, a city in Neimenggu (Inner Mongolia), shooting three days of scenes in an abandoned industrial city that served as a set.
We stayed there 4 days and I had the possibilities to meet dozens of locals, practice my Chinese and try wonderful Mongolian food. China can be really amazing and these experiences together with the Homestay program can give you the right idea of what this country is.
